Not that I don't think it's worth $10k, but the amount of effort you put into advertising tells me you're (not the car, you) not worthy of $10k. I'll tell you why. The asking price should be reflective of, first and foremost, the condition of the car. But also it should be reflective of the market the car is in and your willingness to sell the car. People see a high price and look the other way. The higher the price, the longer it will take to sell. When you ask for $16k, a serious buyer who thinks the car is worth only $13k will not ask you to laugh in their face. On the other hand, asking someone to go search for your car on autotrader.com does not sound like someone interested in selling his car.
